About stillmarten
Dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces across Greater Manchester since 2009
Our Story
What began as a one-person operation in Withington has grown into a team of twelve dedicated professionals serving clients throughout Greater Manchester. The founding principle remains unchanged: deliver exceptional garden care with genuine attention to detail.
Over fifteen years, we've developed deep knowledge of the local conditions that shape how gardens grow here. From the heavy clay soils common across South Manchester to the exposed positions in the Pennine foothills, we adapt our approach to what each garden actually needs.
Our growth has come almost entirely through recommendations. When someone asks their neighbour who tends their garden, we want them to feel confident giving our name.
What Guides Our Work
Principles we've developed through years of hands-on experience
Genuine Care
We treat every garden as if it were our own. The small details matter — edging properly cut, borders weeded thoroughly, nothing left half-done.
Honest Communication
We tell you what we see, what we recommend, and what it costs. If something isn't necessary, we say so rather than padding the bill.
Reliability
When we say we'll be there Tuesday, we're there Tuesday. Schedules kept, commitments honoured, trust earned through consistency.
Environmental Responsibility
We minimise chemical use, compost green waste, and suggest wildlife-friendly alternatives wherever practical. Good for gardens, good for the planet.
